A Holistic Approach to Chiropractic Care

Health is about more than just where it hurts. I’ll take the time to look at all the factors that may be contributing to your issues and find the best treatment option for your body.

Drawing on more than 15 years of experience, I combine chiropractic care with Applied Kinesiology and Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). My goal is to help you move better, function better and feel more like yourself again.

Techniques

I draw on a range of techniques to tailor care to each individual, including:

Manual adjustments – Hands-on techniques used to improve movement and function in the spine and joints.

Low force techniques – Gentle approaches that may be more suitable for people who prefer a lighter style of care or require a more modified approach.

Applied Kinesiology – A technique that uses muscle testing to help identify areas of imbalance and guide treatment.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) – A mind-body technique that explores the relationship between stress, emotions and physical health.

Will I receive treatment on the first visit?

Absolutely. You will receive treatment on your first visit.

Do I need to have x-rays?

I will refer you for x-rays if I think it is clinically indicated but I do not routinely refer all patients for x-rays.

Do I have to be manually adjusted?

If you don’t feel comfortable being manually adjusted (or ‘cracked’ as it is often known) then you don’t have to be. We can discuss a range of more gentle techniques for your body.

How often do I need to come for treatment?

Don’t worry, I won’t be telling you I need to see you three times a week for the next three months!

During the initial stages of your treatment, I may need to see your more regularly, but my aim is always to get you feeling better, sooner.

Many of my patients come in for regular adjustments to keep their body feeling good on a timetable that suits them, their lives and their bodies - this may be anywhere from once a fortnight to once every few months. Other patients are happy to come in when they feel like they need it - I’m happy to work with what works for you.
